Erb’s Three-Hitter Puts San Diego State Past Wyoming, 8-2

SAN DIEGO — Mike Erb pitched a complete-game three-hitter and struck out 12 to lead San Diego State past Wyoming, 8-2, in a Western Athletic Conference college baseball game Thursday night at Smith Field.
San Diego State (2-3, 20-17-1) will play host to Wyoming (3-1, 17-9) in a doubleheader today at 5 p.m.
Danny Martinez led the Aztecs with three hits, including an RBI double. Nikco Riesgo added two hits and an RBI and Chuck McInnis hit a solo home run. SDSU had 11 hits.
Both runs charged to Erb (5-3) were unearned.
