Los Angeles-based Occidental Petroleum Co. has awarded $125,000 to KCET-TV for the production of 48 segments of the public station’s “Videolog” series. The 4-5 minute California-life-style features began on the station in 1983. KCET is also receiving additional support from Lufthansa, the West German airline, to produce segments about Los Angeles’ participation in the 750th birthday celebration this year of L.A. sister-city Berlin.
