StarTel Corp. of Irvine Expects 1st-Quarter Loss

StarTel Corp. of Irvine said it expects to post a first-quarter loss because of a steep decline in sales for the period.
The telecommunications equipment company said revenues for the first quarter should drop as much as 30% to about $1.75 million, down from $2.5 million in the first quarter of 1986.
The company’s official financial report will be released at the end of the month, a spokesman said.
