Smugglers’ Wings Clipped

GEORGETOWN, Guyana — Trinidad customs officials sent two Guyanese women home after catching them trying to smuggle in 71 tropical birds hidden inside girdles they were wearing. Guyana officials Monday said that many of the birds suffocated.
