Liberty and Ellis Lead West to Win in Dapper Dan Game

PITTSBURGH — Chicago’s Marcus Liberty scored 24 points, LeRon Ellis of Santa Ana Mater Dei added 17, and Sean Higgins of Fairfax had 10 to lead the West to a 110-99 win over the East in the 23rd annual Dapper Dan high school all-star basketball game Friday night.
Liberty, of Martin Luther King High, was named the West’s most valuable player, while Brian Shorter of Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., was the East MVP with 19 points.
