Youth Dies After Taking Heart Drug; 14 Stricken

NANAIMO, Canada — One teen-ager died and 14 others were hospitalized Thursday in this British Columbia town after taking an experimental heart drug stolen earlier in the day, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Friday.
A police spokesman said Stephen Morgan, 18, of Nanaimo, collapsed Thursday night at his home here on Vancouver Island and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.
A hospital spokesman said the 14 teen-agers, between the ages of 16 and 18, were held overnight and released Friday. None was in serious condition.
The drug, in capsule form, was stolen during a home burglary, police said.
