Reggie Miller, UCLA’s senior forward, was given the John Wooden Award as the team’s Most Valuable Player Thursday night at the Bruins’ annual awards banquet at the Sportsmen’s Lodge.
Other awards: outstanding team player--Montel Hatcher and Pooh Richardson; most valuable freshman--Trevor Wilson; academic achievement--Craig Jackson; most improved--Charles Rochelin; outstanding defensive player--Dave Immel; top free thrower--Miller.
