House Damaged in Fire

A fire that started on the roof of a dining area caused an estimated $45,000 damage Wednesday to a home in the 9400 block of El Sol Street in Fountain Valley, fire officials said. Fifteen firefighters responded to the 2:21 p.m. blaze, which destroyed 20% of the structure, officials said. The cause is under investigation.
