Care Enterprises expects to post $9.8-million loss.

Some said the announcement signaled an unraveling of its heavily leveraged operations. The Laguna Hills-based nursing home operator--which had a $3.6-million profit in 1985--said the expected loss for 1986 arises largely because of a $7.4-million reserve for litigation. Care, whose major shareholders are Lee Bangerter, his brother Dee and their half-brother Ted Nelson, has been the affected by a deepening family feud.
