KCS Computer Services Inc., a Huntington Beach company that services computer disc and tape drives, said it has purchased the Trident spare parts division from Applied Circuit Technology.
A company spokesman said that KCS bought the division for $600,000 and that the acquisition was effective beginning Jan. 1. He said that the five people employed by the division under Applied Circuit will remain with KCS and that no staff changes are planned.
Applied Circuit Technology, which was acquired by Locke-Sweatman Investments of Austin, Tex., in December, recently announced that it is selling off its electronics divisions to concentrate exclusively on its pharmaceutical units.
