“Platoon” may reap an additional $20 million at the box office after its four Oscar wins but the awards meant little on Wall Street. Tuesday, “Platoon” distributor Orion Pictures’ share price fell slightly in Tuesday’s roller-coaster stock market, from 17 1/2 to 16 5/8. Wednesday Orion closed at 16 1/2. Entertainment industry analysts called it a classic case of buying on the rumors and selling on the news.
