El Camino Real High hit two home runs and pitcher Mike Teich turned in a strong performance in an 8-4 West Valley League victory at Reseda.
Teich (2-0), who had a three-hit shutout going into the bottom of the seventh inning, ran into trouble and was relieved by Carlton Hardy, who retired the next three batters.
In the inning, Quin Fregeau singled home Brian Chavez for the first run for Reseda (1-4), followed by Kevin Ogle’s two-run, run-scoring triple to center. Ogle scored on Mike Vanacore’s infield ground out.
El Camino Real (4-1) had a three-run fifth inning, highlighted by Bob Bumgarner’s two-run home run.
