USD Wins Men’s Tennis Invitational

SAN DIEGO — Scott Patridge beat Stephen Jung, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles, and David Stewart rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Robert Sjoholm at No. 2 singles to lead the University of San Diego to a 5-1 victory over Nebraska in the finals of the USD Tennis Invitational Sunday.
Patridge, the tournament most valuable player, won every singles and doubles match he played in the tournament. USD is 21-6.
USD won three other singles matches in straight sets. The three doubles matches were not played.
Brown beat Nebraska, 6-0, to take third place.
