Staar Surgical Co., Monrovia, said it purchased Frigitronics of Connecticut Inc., Shelton, Conn., a wholly owned subsidiary of Revlon Inc., for $3 million. Frigitronics designs, manufactures and markets crysurgical equipment and diagnostic and surgical instruments mainly for the ophthalmic industry.
