South County : 3 Winners Advance to Countywide Spelling Bee

Three winners in the Capistrano Unified School District’s annual elementary school spelling bee will take part in a countywide contest April 7.
The three are Jeff King, a sixth-grader from Barcelona Hills Elementary School in Mission Viejo; Frank Marino, a sixth-grader from the Richard Henry Dana Elementary School in Dana Point, and Scott Muir, a fourth-grader from the Harold Ambuehl Elementary School in San Juan Capistrano.
Some of the words the three had to wrestle with on the path to victory were bureaucracy, renaissance, sovereignty and congruent.
