U2 will shoot its next video this afternoon on a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles. Beginning at about 3:30, the Irish band will perform “Where the Streets Have No Name” on the roof of a one-story building at the northeast corner of 7th and Main streets. It was reportedly the band’s idea to find a location at the heart of downtown to shoot the song, which comes from the band’s new album, “The Joshua Tree” (see Pop Charts at bottom of column). Next week, U2 kicks off a world tour--including five sold-out shows beginning April 17 at the Sports Arena--with two concerts in Tempe, Ariz.
