Loyola’s 10-Run Fourth Beats Chapman in Baseball, 18-9

Loyola Marymount University scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to come from behind and defeat Chapman, 18-9, in a nonconference baseball game Wednesday.
Chapman led, 8-1, after three innings on a three-run home run by Darren Nelson in the first, a grand slam by Bucky Bollinger in the second and a bases-empty shot by Mike Cruz in the third.
The Lions sent 14 batters to the plate in the fourth, scoring 10 runs on 5 hits and 5 walks, including 4 consecutive walks with the bases loaded.
Mitch Bradbury was 3 for 5 for Loyola with two doubles and three RBIs. Bollinger was 3 for 4 for Chapman.
