Following negotiations with several labels after I.R.S. Records inadvertently failed to renew her contract, Belinda Carlisle has signed with MCA Records. Despite earlier reports that the former Go-Go’s lead singer was set to go to PolyGram Records, her manager Danny Goldberg said Tuesday, “There was a lot of logic in going to MCA.” Goldberg cited her long relationship with former Go-Go’s manager Irving Azoff, who is now president of MCA Music Entertainment Group.
