Andrea Lloyd sparked a second-half rally that led No. 1 Texas past fifth-ranked Rutgers, 85-77, Saturday in the East Regional final at Fayetteville, N.C.
Defending NCAA champion Texas (31-1) will play host to the Final Four at Austin, Tex., meeting Louisiana Tech on Friday.
Rutgers (30-3) had a 55-46 lead with 12:37 left, but Texas closed to 63-60 with 7:55 remaining on two three-point plays by Lloyd, who scored 20 points.
After Kristen Foley hit a jumper for Rutgers, Texas took control with a 13-2 run that made it 73-67 edge with 4:10 left.
Tennessee 77, Auburn 61--Bridgette Gordon scored 33 points and the seventh-ranked Lady Volunteers upset the second-ranked Tigers in the Mideast Regional final at Knoxville, Tenn.
The Lady Volunteers (26-6) will play Cal State Long Beach Friday.
Tennessee avenged a 102-96 defeat to Auburn (31-2) in the Southeastern Conference tournament semifinals.
Louisiana Tech 66, Iowa 65--Teresa Weatherspoon hit two free throws with 1:38 left and Tori Harrison sank a 12-foot jumper 11 seconds later to push the third-ranked Lady Techsters past the No. 9 Hawkeyes in the Midwest Regional final at Monroe, La.
Iowa (26-4) had a 63-60 lead when Lachaundra Berry made two free throws with 2:13 left, but Louisiana Tech (29-2) scored six straight points.
