Orange Coast Men, Women Finish First in Swimming Meet

The Orange Coast College men’s and women’s swim teams swept the 18-team Cuesta Invitational Saturday at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
The Orange Coast women, defending state champion, finished with 582.5 points. West Valley was second with 475 points.
The Orange Coast men edged Diablo Valley College, 591-580.
OCC freshman Matthew Harris won the 500-meter freestyle in 4 minutes 52.19 seconds and was a member of the 800-meter freestyle relay, which won in 7:17.34, the fastest time in the state this season.
Tina Constable led the women’s team with second-place finishes in the 100-meter freestyle (55.94) and the 50-meter butterfly (27.22).
