“Doris Chase and Friends” (U.S.A., 1985-87, 6 p.m., Barnsdall). Chase is a sculptor and video artist whose work has spanned three decades. The program comprises two of her recent video dramas--”Table for One” and “Dear Papa”--and a documentary on her life and art. Chase’s efforts deal with small, accessible emotions and human experiences, and the two on view, fully demonstrate her ability to tell these stories simply--or with the full technical wizardry of the medium.
