San Diego College Baseball : SDSU’s Four-Run First Inning Isn’t Enough in 7-4 Defeat

San Diego State scored four runs in the first inning, but Eastern Washington reliever Terry Moe shut out the Aztecs in the next eight innings to lead the Eagles to a 7-4 victory Tuesday at the Best of the West tournament at Fresno.
Harry Henderson was 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs and Lance Pinnell was 3 for 4 with a double to pace SDSU (12-10). Mike Erb (2-2) allowed six earned runs in 6 innings.
Outfielder Greg Adelsback was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double to lead Eastern Washington (3-6).
USD 6, Cal State Fullerton 1--Sean Baron hit two home runs, a three-run shot in the third and a solo homer in the seventh, to lead USD to a nonconference victory at home. Baron has five home runs in his last eight at-bats and has 27 RBIs this season for USD (13-9). Pat Fitzsimons (2-0) went the distance. Fullerton, which committed three errors, is 17-10.
