Kachigian Leads USIU to Third in Stanislaus Golf Tournament

Mike Kachigian of United States International University finished 11th with a 231 and four other USIU golfers tied for 16th with rounds of 237 to lead the Gulls to third place in the Stanislaus Invitational at the Turlock Country Club Tuesday.
Cal State Northridge won the 12-team tournament with a score of 914. Cal State Stanislaus was second (921). USIU finished with 938.
USIU’s Tom Copeland, Jim Wahl, Jeff Ward and Tom Rasmussen each shot a 237 for 16th place. Stanislaus’ Pat Lay won the tournament at 224.
