College Roundup : Amerlinck Leads Chapman Men to Tennis Victory

The Chapman College men’s tennis team, ranked second in Division II, won five singles matches and two doubles in a 7-2 victory over Division I University of Wisconsin in a nonconference men’s tennis match in Orange Tuesday.
Olivier Amerlinck, Chapman’s No. 2 player, defeated Marc Schwartz, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6, and Paul Charlesworth defeated John Zerweck, 6-3, 6-1.
The victory was the third straight for the Panthers (7-6). The Badgers are 4-4.
In women’s tennis:
Cal State Northridge 8, Chapman 1--Michelle Dobeck and Lori Mumenthaler, Chapman College’s No. 3 doubles team, had the only Panther victory by a default in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. match at Chapman.
