Furious Over Child-Killer
Your article (Feb. 12) about Theodore Frank, the convicted child-killer, sent me into such a furious tizzy that I’ve been flying around like a madwoman ever since.
I’ve followed the progress of Frank’s incarceration since this felon’s 1978 arrest. I never knew exactly what this sadist did to his young victim, but your recent article explicitly spelled out Frank’s actions. It didn’t help my sanity to know that Frank’s ultimate fate still hangs in legal litigation for another five years. The added knowledge infuriated me.
According to your article, the accumulating legal costs, care, psychological counseling, incarceration of Frank is $2.8 million and rising. Is this a lucid, rational way for our California Legislature and legal system to spend our California taxpayers’ money?
Theodore Frank is a deranged, psychotic, sadistic recidivist. Why continue to coddle his existence? According to your article, Theodore Frank attacked Amy Sue Seitz just six weeks after being released from Atascadero State Hospital, where he finished serving four years for previous assaults. Why are we keeping this man alive?
