Fire Damages Home: An early-morning blaze caused about $45,000 damage to a vacant single-story home Sunday, fire officials said. Garden Grove fire dispatchers said the fire was reported about 2:20 a.m., and 17 firefighters took 25 minutes to put it out. The home, located at 9312 Chapman Ave., was unoccupied and had a “for sale” sign posted in front, Garden Grove Fire Department Battalion Chief Marvin Schilling said. The cause was under investigation.
