Alvarado to Meet Monreal in Handball Final

Top-seeded Naty Alvarado, who has won the national singles title eight straight years, Saturday advanced to the final of the United Handball Assn. pro tour stop at the Los Caballeros Racquet and Sports Club in Fountain Valley.
Alvarado, from Hesperia, defeated John Sabo of Summit, N.J., who is No. 4 in the nation, 21-2, 21-10.
Alvarado, who has won 51 of the last 62 pro stops, will play Poncho Monreal, from El Paso, Tex., in the final at noon today at Los Caballeros.
