L istings and commentary for Week 2 of the American Film Institute Film Festival of Los Angeles, which runs through March 26:
WEDNESDAY
“Comrades” (Great Britain, 1986, 9:30 p.m.). Director Bill Douglas’ trilogy concerns six Dorset farm laborers and their forced exportation to Australia in 1834. Vanessa Redgrave, John Hargreaves and James Fox star. Not available for preview.
