Sierra Madre : Chantry Flats Road Closure
- Share via
The City Council has voted to support a plan to close Santa Anita Canyon Road leading to Chantry Flats by locking the gate on the road from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Residents have complained about drug use and reckless driving by teen-agers at night. Sierra Madre will seek cooperation from the other government agencies that share jurisdiction over the area--the cities of Arcadia and Monrovia, the California Highway Patrol, the county Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Forest Service.
