Redondo Beach : Recount Asked in District 3

Attorney Steve Colin, who lost his bid for the District 3 City Council seat by nine votes on March 3, asked for a recount Wednesday.
Although he said after the election he would not accept the seat even if a recount proved him victorious, he said Wednesday he would serve.
No date has been scheduled for the recount, but it must be held by next Wednesday.
The city clerk’s office checked 12 challenged ballots last week to see if the voters were properly registered and eight votes were added to the final tally.
Colin picked up one more vote, bringing his total to 554; District 3 incumbent Marcia Martin’s final tally remained at 563.
