Anaheim : Unidentified Woman Killed by Car on Katella

Police on Tuesday were trying to identify a woman in her 60s who was struck and killed by a car as she was running across Katella Avenue.
Investigators said the accident occurred at 12:37 p.m. at the intersection of Katella and Walnut Street.
A car driven by a Garden Grove woman was westbound on Katella and had a green light at the intersection, officers said. The pedestrian was running south across Katella. Officers said she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police asked anyone with information about the victim to call the traffic bureau at (714) 999-1861. She was described as white, 60 to 70 years old, with grayish-brown hair. She was 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighed 123 pounds and was wearing a black blouse, gray and black dress and black shoes.
