Orange County Prep Baseball : Westminster Rallies for Win

Westminster High School overcame a 7-2 deficit with seven runs in the seventh inning to defeat Simi Valley, 9-7, in a first-round game of the El Segundo tournament at Simi Valley.
Albert Rodriguez was 3 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBIs for Westminister (2-0). Teammate Ryan Klesko was 2 for 4 with two doubles and Joe Maisano was 2 for 4 with two RBIs.
Edison 13, Torrance 5--Chris Powell was 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the Chargers (2-0) at Edison. Frank Vidales allowed two hits and struck out three for the victory.
In the Glendora tournament:
Sonora 8, Bonita 6--Mitch Kaylor and Troy Karakas each had three hits to lead the Raiders at Bonita. Darren Martin (1-0) allowed 10 hits but struck out 6 in seven innings.
In the Loara Tournament:
Irvine 12, El Dorado 7--Jeff Walters was 3 for 4 with four RBIs to lead the Vaqueros at El Dorado. Terry Ramatoa hit a home run in the first and Brian Brocoff added a two-run homer in the fifth for Irvine (1-0).
Los Alamitos 14, Anaheim 0--Robbie Nen (1-0) allowed two hits and struck out nine in six innings for the Griffins (1-2). Josh Mussleman was 3 for 4 with seven RBIs for Los Alamitos.
North (Riverside) 1, Villa Park 0--Scott Schanz, David Ayala and Carl Sanchez combined to pitch a no-hitter at the Riverside Sports Center.
Diamond Bar 5, Cypress 4--The Centurions lost to the Brahmas.
La Quinta 2, Huntington Beach 1--The Aztecs defeated the Oilers at La Quinta High School.
In the Tustin/Newport/Santa Ana Tournament:
Woodbridge 11, Corona del Mar 1--David Klemkiwicz was 2 for 3 with three RBIs to lead the Warriors at Woodbridge. Mark Fertig scored twice and had one RBI, and Paul Rodriguez had a two-run homer in the sixth for the Warriors (1-0).
Saddleback 7, Foothill 6--Victor Rossano was 2 for 4 with three RBIs to lead Saddleback (2-1) at Foothill.
Santa Ana 4, Rancho Alamitos 2--John Hefler hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Saints (1-0) a victory at Santa Ana.
Capistrano Valley 6, Estancia 3--Jim Kemper (1-0) allowed pitched a one-hit shutout for five innings to get the victory at Capistrano Valley. Bill Barden had two hits, scored two runs and drove home another for the Cougars (2-1).
Tustin 9, Santa Ana Valley 0--Chris Floth was 2 for 3 with one RBI and picked up the victory by striking out four in four innings for the Tillers (1-0) at Tustin.
Newport Harbor 5, Costa Mesa 4--Gary Lindberg allowed three hits and struck out four in seven innings for the Sailors.
