The first day of trial for a revolutionary group charged with bombings and bank robberies was disrupted when lawyer William Kunstler, protesting U.S. District Judge John McNaught’s decision to bar him from representing a defendant, was forcibly removed from the heavily guarded Boston courtroom. Eight people, members of the group called the United Freedom Front and the Sam Melville-Jonathan Jackson Unit, are charged with sedition in a 10-year conspiracy to overthrow the government through violent acts.
