2-A Soccer Matches Set for Today

The San Diego Section 2-A boys’ and girls’ soccer championship games originally scheduled for Friday night at San Diego High School were postponed because of rain. The matches will be played today at Southwestern College before the 3-A championships.
In the boys’ match La Jolla (20-1-1) will face City Western League co-champion University City (18-3-3) at 1:30 p.m. The girls’ championship will pit unseeded University of San Diego High School (18-2-4) against No. 2-seeded San Pasqual (18-5-1) at 3:30 p.m.
The 3-A matches will be played at their scheduled times. Defending 3-A champion Valhalla (20-2) plays Poway (18-1-5) in the boys’ final at 5:30 p.m. The Valhalla girls’ team (19-3-1) faces defending champion Bonita Vista (25-3) at 7:30 p.m.
