San Diego Section Soccer : Valhalla Edges Hilltop, 1-0, on Salinas’ Goal

SAN DIEGO — Sean Salinas scored on a pass from Toby Taitano at the 60-minute mark to give Valhalla a 1-0 victory over Hilltop in the quarterfinal of the San Diego Section 3-A soccer playoffs Saturday at Valhalla.

Valhalla increased its record to 19-2, and Hilltop finished its season at 9-3-2.

In another 3-A playoff game, Poway beat Grossmont, 2-1, at Poway.
