A special election will be held today in the Los Angeles City Council’s 1st District. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The district covers parts of Highland Park, Mount Washington, Lincoln Heights, Echo Park, Chinatown and the Pico-Union area. Voters with questions about polling locations may call the city clerk’s office, 485-3581.
