The World : 12 Girls Hurt in Acid Attack

Twelve Palestinian girls were injured when masked men invaded Shauki High School in Gaza City in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip and sprayed them with acid, military sources said. Israel radio reported that the attackers were apparently trying to force the girls to demonstrate against the Israeli occupation. The sources said the girls were taken to Shifa hospital in Gaza and that most of them were released shortly afterward. Meanwhile, in the Israeli town of Hadera, a bomb apparently planted by Arab guerrillas ripped through an inter-city bus, wounding at least nine people, Israel radio said.
