A 23-year-old motorcyclist sustained severe head injuries Thursday night when he fell on the pavement after he tried to brake and lost control of the bike, police said.
Larry A. Brister of Garden Grove was heading south on Beach Boulevard near Warner Avenue at 6:53 p.m., when he tried to brake his motorcycle, Lt. Chuck Poe said. However, Brister lost control and fell, hitting his head on the pavement and sliding under the car in front of him, Poe said.
