SDSU’s Stolz Hires 2 Assistant Coaches

SAN DIEGO — San Diego State has filled its two assistant football coaching vacancies by hiring Jon Hoke and Mike Nelson.
Hoke, 29, will coach the defensive line and special teams. He worked at Bowling Green the past four years, including three years under current Aztec Coach Denny Stolz.
Nelson, 37, will coach the outside linebackers. He coached at Missouri the past two seasons and was with Edmonton of the Canadian Football League the previous two seasons.
Dana Bible, 33, the receivers coach, will also coach tight ends next season. Steve Fairchild, who was coaching tight ends, recently became New Mexico’s quarterback coach.
