Marine Cano, coach of both soccer teams at Cal State Dominguez Hills, was named Western Region coach of the year for women’s soccer by the National Soccer Coaches Assn. of America, and junior forward Robyn Queen was named to the all-region first team. The women’s team was 15-1-2 and Queen was the leading scorer with 21 goals and 52 points, among the top five in the nation. Senior forward Jill Draper and junior midfielder Michele Salas received honorable mention.
