KING GEORGE

Regarding his review of Wally George’s rock act, Randy Lewis needs to be taken to task for his outrageous, if not ludicrous, comparison of the singing voice of Wally George to George Putnam (“Good Golly, Its Wally George, Singer,” Sept. 25).
Let’s set the record straight: George Putnam is an informed, articulate and honest journalist who, in his 50-plus years experience, has interviewed actors to presidents.
Wally George, on the other hand, has been associated with Joe Pyne and has interviewed many people ranging from lawyers that defend pedophiles to activists who crusade for such legislation as barring people from government jobs who drink, smoke and eat sugary foods.
Shame on you, Mr. Lewis, for putting someone as respectable as Putnam in the same league as Wally George. I think CNN’s Robert Novak or an enraged Judge Wapner would have been a more apt comparison.
