The decomposed body of a woman was found Wednesday afternoon near the Pala Indian Reservation east of Fallbrook, authorities said.
The body was discovered by a road maintenance worker near an embankment along Pala Temecula Road, about four miles north of California 76, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
Homicide detectives said the woman had been wearing boots, blue pants and a light-colored knit sweater. She had tattoos of a small red rose and a red heart on her chest. Her age and the cause of death have not been determined.
