Nobel Peace laureate Lech Walesa said he fears that Polish authorities are preparing charges against him and other dissidents of the outlawed Solidarity labor union for a major political trial. In a statement released after he was summoned for an eighth round of police questioning in his Baltic coast hometown of Gdansk, the founder of Solidarity gave no indication of what he thought the charges would be. Walesa said those who might be brought to trial include his priest, Father Henryk Jankowski, and two of his former advisers, Bronislaw Geremek and Tadeusz Mazowiecki.
