SAN GABRIEL — “Going back to rob the same place four times in a month is not real intelligent,” San Gabriel Police Sgt. Gene O’Connor said of Eulalio Martinez, arrested after the fourth holdup of a savings and loan. “He was bound to get caught.”
Martinez, 25, was arrested Monday, after a chase that began outside the Glendale Federal Savings & Loan Assn. office on Valley Boulevard, O’Connor said.
“We spotted him when we saw his shoes sticking out of the trees,” O’Connor said, adding that $3,700 had been taken in the four robberies.
