Homeowners Praise Motion
South Shores Homeowners’ Assn. would like to commend Supervisor Deane Dana for his recent motion calling for the county to negotiate with the state to include the county’s White Point Beach area in the creation of a state park at White Point.
As Dana said, teaming the county’s property with an area owned by the city of Los Angeles would permit development of a truly all-encompassing visitor service center.
His motion was passed unanimously by the county Board of Supervisors, indicating that there is wide support for development of White Point as a coastal state park. Local support was identified earlier by a survey conducted by our association among those living in South Shores, an area of some 3,000 residents adjacent to White Point Park.
