Tustin police arrested two armed robbery suspects with the help of Santa Ana police and the Orang County sheriff’s special tactical support team. According to police, two men robbed a Tustin bar manager at gunpoint in the parking lot of Simone’s Place, on West 1st Street. They lured Larry W. Zimmerman of Irvine to their van with an offer to sell him a big-screen television for $150, police said. As they sped away in the van after robbing him, Zimmerman got their license number and called police, who stopped the van and held one suspect, identified as Karlos W. Kiernan of Santa Ana. Further investigation led officers to the Sixpence Inn, where the sheriff’s tactical support team helped them search four rooms and arrest another suspect, Robert Allen Johnson, 38, of Tustin.
