Re President Reagan’s calling California’s statewide lottery “a little bit undignified” and “not exactly liking the idea of government engaging in gambling”:
Perhaps Mr. Righteous has forgotten that during his eight years in Sacramento the state coffers profited handsomely from legal race-track wagering.
