Quarterback Jeff George, who set state and national passing records and led Warren Central High in Indianapolis to its second straight high school football championship, has narrowed his college choices to Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, UCLA, and Miami of Florida.
George has been one of the most heavily recruited high school players in the nation. High school seniors may sign national letters of intent with colleges starting Feb. 12.
