8,000 Records Dating to 1940 Destroyed in Blaze

BRYAN, Tex. — A Christmas Day fire destroyed about 8,000 78 rpm records dating to 1940, their owner said Friday.
David C. Jones, 72, a former radio station owner, said he had been planning to move to another location. “It made me lose my faith in Santa Claus,” he said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
