UCLA Women Sixth in NCAA Cross-Country

Polly Plumer’s fourth-place individual finish pulled the UCLA women’s cross country team to a sixth-place finish in the NCAA cross-country championship runs Monday at Milwaukee. The UCLA men finished 12th.
Plumer, a junior, finished nine seconds behind overall winner Suzy Tuffey of North Carolina State, to lead the Bruins to their highest NCAA finish.
Jon Butler finished 33rd to lead the men’s team.
The University of Wisconsin won both the men’s and women’s titles.
